Napoleon in front of Copernicus' alleged birthplace

During his visit to Toruń Napoleon Bonaparte called upon a house mistakenly considered as Copernicus' birthplace. Another error is the false date of the French Emperor's sojourn in Toruń which took place not in 1807, as indicated under the illustration, but in 1812. Steel engraving by A. Piliński from the collection of the Copernicus Library in Toruń.
